On April 5, 2019, the Workshop “Financial tools in facilitating trade activity with the European countries” was held under the Jean Monnet/Erasmus+ Program project “Erasmus Module on European skills in business, economics and finance”.
The meeting was opened by Head of Political, Press and information Section of EU Delegation in Uzbekistan Mr. Narvi Jussi and Vice-Rector of TSEU on science and innovation Mustafakulov Sh.E. After that the participants were greeted by the coordinator of the National Office of Erasmus+ in Uzbekistan, Abdurakhmanova A.K.
From academic side DSc. Professor Abdullaeva Sh.Z., DSc. Olim Astankulov - participant of the Erasmus+ Program projects and the head of the correspondence department, Asatullayev Khurshid - head of the Economic Theory Department from Tashkent Financial Institute participated in the Workshop discussions. From business part Nozim Kobilov - Commercial Director of Hamkor LLC., Bakhodir Mirsaatov - Executive Director of Hamkor LLC., Bakhrom Numonov - Deputy Chairman of Infin Bank participated in round table discussions.

CEO of “Uzbekleasing International” presented comparative analysis of Uzbek and European leasing activity, the terms of establishing financial companies, and relations of Uzbekleasing with European companies.
Head of Retail Banking in Ipak Yuli Bank, Ulugbek Tavakkalov, presented different types of risk, mainly credit risk and how Ipak Yuli Bank manages these risks with its clients cooperating with European partners, discrepancies in European and Uzbek legislation.
CEO in Grand Thornton Audit Consulting, showed the benefits from transferring of small business to IFRS and how it will simplify understanding by European companies local business and presented easy ways for transferring.
Dr. Jens Richard Lindemann, Senior Experten Service (SES) from Germany showed risks in international trade and presented modern management tools and his own experience from his practical work in Deutsche Bank.
Bakhtiyar Umarov, senior officer in Trade Chamber of Uzbekistan showed how trade finance directly effects on export potential, why it was not well developed in Uzbekistan and how financial tools can facilitate trade activity.
Ravshan Ubaydulaev, student from Banking/Corporate governance faculty/Jean Monnet EMESBEF told what new he learned from EMESBEF Module, how he can use it in practice.
Khaydarali Yunusov, PhD in International Law, docent of University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Jean Monnet Chair/Professor shared his own experience in preparing and implementing Jean Monnet projects, gave his recommendations in distributing this experience to regions of Uzbekistan.
